Terms of use

The terms that apply when you use this website.

Last updated: August 17, 2026

This website is operated by the Master Builders’ Association of Western Pennsylvania, Inc. (“MBA,” “we,” “us”). By using it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Using this site

You may read, print, and share the content here for your own business or personal use. You agree not to:

  • Copy, republish, or sell content from this site without our written permission.
  • Collect names, email addresses, or company information from the site for marketing or solicitation.
  • Use automated tools to scrape, harvest, or overload the site.
  • Attempt to reach any part of the site, server, or account you are not authorized to use.
  • Send anything through our forms that is unlawful, misleading, or harmful, including malicious code.
  • Present yourself as the MBA, an MBA member, or an MBA representative when you are not.

Content and trademarks

Except where noted, the text, photographs, video, documents, and design on this site belong to the MBA or are used with permission, and are protected by copyright. The MBA name and logo, the tagline “Leading the Industry, Building the Region,” and the marks of MBA programs, including the Construction Advancement Program, BuildWPA, YinzGood?, and Hard Hat Moms, are ours. Other names and logos on the site, including AGC, NAIOP, and member company marks, belong to their owners.

You may print and distribute MBA safety materials, toolbox talks, and program documents within your own company. Any other reuse, including reposting them on another website or including them in a product or service you sell, requires our written permission. Write to info@mbawpa.org.

Safety, training, and industry information

The safety resources, toolbox talks, drug-free program documents, model policies, legislative summaries, and labor relations material on this site are general information for the construction industry. They are not legal advice, and they are not a substitute for your own compliance with OSHA regulations, state and local law, your collective bargaining agreements, or your insurance requirements. Conditions differ from company to company and from jobsite to jobsite, so have your own counsel and qualified safety professionals review anything before you rely on it.

Events and registration

Event pages on this site describe MBA events. Registration and payment are handled on our association management system at members.mbawpa.org, and that company’s terms apply to the transaction itself.

A refund, minus a 4% credit card processing fee, will be granted if the cancelation request is received in writing two weeks prior to the event. The MBA may change the date, format, program, or location of an event, or cancel it, and will notify registrants as soon as we can.

Membership

Submitting a membership application through this site is a request, not an acceptance. Membership is granted under the MBA’s bylaws and membership policies, and it takes effect when the MBA confirms it and payment is received.

The member directory

The member directory exists so that owners, developers, general contractors, and the public can find MBA member firms. It is not a mailing list. Using it, or any listing on this site, to send unsolicited commercial email or sales calls is a misuse of the site and grounds for us to block your access.

Links to other sites

We link to member companies, industry partners, government agencies, and services we use. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content, their accuracy, or what they do with your information. A link is not an endorsement.

What you send us

Please do not send confidential or sensitive information through the forms on this site. When you send us a message, a question, or an application, you give us permission to use that information to respond to you and to conduct the association’s business. Do not send us material that belongs to someone else.

Availability and changes

We work to keep this site accurate and available, but we do not guarantee either. Content can become out of date, pages change, and the site can be down for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We may add to, change, or remove any part of the site at any time.

Disclaimer

This site and everything on it is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. You use this site, and rely on its content, at your own risk.

Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the MBA and its officers, directors, staff, and members are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any lost profits, lost business, or lost data, arising from your use of this site or your reliance on anything in it, even if we were advised that such damages were possible.

Indemnification

You agree to cover the MBA’s costs, including reasonable legal fees, for any claim brought against us because of your misuse of this site or your breach of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute about this site or these terms belongs in the state or federal courts serving Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and you agree to that venue.

Changes to these terms

We update these terms as the site changes. The date at the top shows the last revision. Using the site after a change means you accept the current version.
