Program Description:Construction workers make up approximately five percent of the country’s workforce but account for an average of 19% of all job-related fatalities each year. In addition, falls account for the greatest number of fatalities in the construction industry, especially among small businesses. Over the past 10 years, at least, an average of 372 workers were killed from falls, and nonfatal injuries and illnesses that resulted from falls, occurred at a rate of 31.4 per 10,000 full-time workers in 2020.
